One of the main attraction amongst the many arcades and passages is the 'Ko-Galerie', which, apart from its wide-ranging display of goods, also beckons with the culinary delights of numerous restaurants.
Shopping as an 'event' on and near the 'Ko' is celebrated at 'SEVENS' and at the 'stilwerk'. SEVENS, a department store designed around themes, was opened in October 2000. On its 7 floors, about 70 specialized shops are grouped according to what they sell, e.g. on the designer level, lifestyle level or multimedia level. In the direct vicinity of Koenigsallee, at Grunstraße, 'stilwerk' opened in February 2000. On its 17.500 sqm and 5 floors, everything relating to furnishings and design - from the designer teaspoon to stylish decorations - can be found at 45 specialized shops.
